‘Fire River’ on Mount Etna shines in view of the volcano from space

Volcanoes are wonderful forces of nature. They can be intimidating when exploding and even beautiful when seen by a safe point of the edge on Earth. Satellite images give us a very different perspective on an explosion. NASA shared a look at Italy’s Mount Etna in the middle of the dress, as seen from the landsatin satellite on February 13. The lava river traces a crack at the Bocca Nuova Crater base of the volcano, according to a report from the Global Global Volcano Program of the Smithsonian institution.
