The goal withdrew to Dei. Then came the reaction

Almost a month after Target said it is ending some diverse programs, capital and its involvement (Dei), the company is facing reactions from customers, heirs of one of its founders and civil rights activists.

On January 24, at Trump’s presidency, Target announced that he was eliminating employment goals for minority employees, ending an executive committee focused on racial justice and making further changes to his diversity initiatives. Target said there was a new strategy called “Bulseye belonging”, which he introduced for the first time last year, and the company remained committed to “creating a sense of belonging to our team, guests and communities”. But no company has faced a strong blow from Dei’s supporters as a target.

The company publicly supported homosexual marriage in 2014 before it was legalized across the country, and was one of the first national sellers to allow transgender employees and clients to choose bathrooms corresponding to their gender identities.

Target also increased efforts to attract new parents and minority clients in recent years and built a strong base of Democrats clients. Foot traffic in target stores increased each year for four weeks in a row, but fell 4% per year for the week of January 27, three days after the Target announcement, according to Placer.ai, who uses phone location data to pursue visits. What is strangest, some experts say, is that the target is repeating his mistake to alienate progressive customers.

In 2023, Target faced a right -wing pressure campaign for collecting its pride month goods.
